Took my mom here recently, and unfortunately, the first impression was extremely disappointing. At check-in, we were assisted by a young woman named “Jamie.” Her demeanor was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily entitled. She carried herself as though the business belonged to her rather than understanding that she was representing a company and serving its customers. The rest of the staff was fine, and my mom actually had a great experience with the doctor. They bonded over both being from New York, and that part of the visit was genuinely pleasant. I understand that the business offers a membership, and I can absolutely appreciate the value of the program. However, I declined the offer because of my interaction with her. I did not feel comfortable giving additional business involving my mother to someone who made us feel so unwelcome. What bothered me most was not that she offered the membership—it was how she handled being told no. She spoke at me instead of with me and gave off the impression that my decision somehow offended her. She also stated that she was the manager, although I cannot confirm whether that is actually her position. If she is in management, I would strongly encourage the company to reconsider whether her approach reflects the type of customer service it wants associated with its name. If she is not, then management should seriously evaluate how she is representing the business. Customer service requires emotional intelligence, professionalism, and the ability to treat people with respect even when they don’t purchase what you’re offering. Being in a customer-facing position is not a license to make customers feel small simply because they said no. And honestly, the moment we walked away, her demeanor made it very clear that she could care less about how the interaction made us feel. That kind of behavior doesn’t just create a bad experience—it makes customers question whether they want to return. My mom enjoyed her experience with the doctor, which is why this is especially unfortunate. But one person at the front desk was enough to completely change my perception of the business. First impressions matter. Management should pay attention to who is creating those impressions.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW SO THIS DOESNT HAPPEN TO YOU. I know it’s long but PLEASE read it so YOU can protect yourselves as well. I canceled my account about 2 months prior to my mom passing away from pancreatic cancer in 2025. We knew she was declining quickly and lived in NJ. The kind man at the front desk told he would take care of it for me which I greatly appreciated considering what I was dealing with. He never told me I needed to sign anything, he told me HE would do it. Well they continued to charge me and even somehow managed to access my new bank card because I had to cancel my original card because my husband had fraud and so we both got new cards.Without my authorization they continued to charge me. I called to ask them how they got my new information and why I was still being charged.i spoke with someone on the phone I believe the same man, and he told me it was bizarre that they had my new card info and that once again he would take care of it by removing my card and by filling out another cancelation for me. I regretfully missed these charges because I myself was diagnosed with cervical cancer and was in and out of hospitals. I am still fighting cancer. They have phone recordings of our conversations and even charged me for “extra sessions” when THEY THEMSELVES confirmed I haven’t been in any office in over a year. Mckenzie Misner told me on a recorded call that this was insane I was even charged for an extra session 2 days after my mom died while I was in NJ still crying in the hospital filling out endless paperwork. They also know due to my illnesses I am not medically cleared to be treated by a chiropractor. My bank is kind of enough to refute these charges and give me back my money, but it shouldn’t have come to that. They charged my account $1,626. I unfortunately can’t post the email because I believe that’s illegal but I can tell you they offered me $321dollars back and then 20 “free sessions worth 469. To me they aren’t “free sessions considering this company has been unlawfully taking my money. Don’t let this be you please. Invest your hard earned money into a company that WILL DO RIGHT BY YOU. The staff is great and there are great doctors there but is it worth the risk of costing you almost $2000. There are great doctors everywhere. Don’t make the same mistake I did by trusting that the owners of the Joint and McKenzie would do right by me. The joint is not a trustworthy company to put your money into their hands. There wasn’t an option for 0 stars, but there should be because they don’t deserve even a single star.

Just first visit but so far so good. I felt better afterwards. There did seem to be a bit of a hard sell on locking in multiple future appointments. I get it takes multiple and consistent visits to see improvement, but after one appointment not sure you can justify twice a week visits. Every other week would be a good starting ask. After 2-3 months of that maybe decide extra is called for.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Booker for the past month, and he’s been amazing. I was dealing with really severe pain in my lower back, upper back, and neck. Every time I came in, even on tough days when I was super tired or just having a bad day, I always left feeling so much happier-like I forgot all about the stress. Dr. Booker is such a great listener and really takes the time to figure out what I need. He gave me simple exercises, helped with my daily routines, and even gave me diet tips. After a month, I feel so much better. He’s got this positive, fun energy, and he’s always smiling-he really makes a difference. I’m so thankful for him and how he’s helped me. For the past five years, I’ve been visiting this location regularly. Over the last year, I mostly worked with Dr. Abbott before Dr. Booker came in. Dr. Booker has a very similar energy, just as positive and uplifting. Both of them have been incredible, and I’m so thankful for the care I’ve received at this location.

I have been a joint member for years, and overall, I have had good experiences at a variety of locations. This particular location is infuriating in recent months. Some Saturday’s it’s open. Some it’s closed with no notice. The door still says the hours are 10am-5pm on Saturday’s. Google says it’s closed apparently. Regardless of what the answer is for Saturday’s, the hours need to be consistent or there needs to be a notice of closure of some kind. It’s unacceptable to be so inconsistent when people go out of their way to go to this location then find out it’s closed after getting there.

Saturday am drop in. No one in the location. I check in and go to the back for an ankle adjustment. I am then pushed back to the lobby for 14 minutes while I have to fill out multiple forms on an ipad that would not work correctly. When I go back for a second time to the treatment area. The doctor asked me how I wanted to be adjusted and I said I don’t need anything but my ankles done. She proceeded to tell me to lay down face down on the table and then starting to work on my neck and back and I said ma’am, I just need my ankles done. She said well I just need to do a quick run through I said ma’am I just need my ankles done, please she then says well you really need to do a full thing and why are you? What are you coming in here today for ma’am? I need my ankles done and she proceeds to start working on my back and neck and I said ma’am I just need my ankles done. I’ve asked you four times to please work on my ankles and then I sit up and I said is there a problem - am I not being clear that I need only my ankles adjusted. She said I thought that you wanted a back Adjustment, at which point I got up and left. I am canceling my membership after a decade. Brutal health care conditions with doctors who do what they want and not what is asked for.

Dr. Abbott is funny and personable. He heard my concerns and was able to rectify the pain I’ve been feeling in my lower right sacrum and general pelvic area. I literally couldn’t walk straight and he was able to align my spine in a few minutes. I haven’t felt this kind relief in years until I came here. I will be back. The lady at the front desk, Ms. Walker, is also very personable as well. The staff I’ve came across so far has been welcoming.

I am never one to write reviews but I feel obligated to share my experience with The Joint - I’ve struggled with back pain for several years, and have seen several chiropractors in several states. I was experiencing severe pain and knew I needed an adjustment. This Wake Forest location was recommended to me so I decided to go on a weekend. My pain was so severe that I cried during my adjustment, only to have the practitioner tell me my pain was acute and note chronic (me already knowing my pain was chronic from an MRI showing nerve and ligament damage). I checked out and I was essentially told that I needed to buy a package to save money. I agreed for a six (6) adjustment package only to later find out that I was charged for a 10. Even more, my pain is worsened after the second and third adjustment so I sought another chiropractor. The Joint does not take the time to consider real pain. I recommend finding a local specialist.

I used to have a membership. Only switched to buying single visits; due to my work schedule I just cannot go as often. However with the single visits, Im having to waste 15-20 minutes every time just to “refill” out paperwork and a new client consult. I usually am able to find time to go about once every 2-3 months. Most recently, it was just under 3 months, told it was going to be a new patient visit yet again, and ended up leaving because I don’t have time to keep going through this. The Joint is supposed to be for convenience. I shouldn’t have to go through a new client visit every time just because I dont come on a weekly/monthly basis. I understand asking about any new injuries or maybe updating information for safety reasons once a year or even once every 6 months, but a whole new client intro every time is insane. I will be looking for a new chiropractor location.

The first time I went to this location I was highly satisfied by the service I received. The second time I went was about 30 minutes prior to close with my girlfriend who was in significant need of a chiropractor. The receptionist was actively trying to convince me and my girlfriend not to fill out paperwork, obviously trying to get out of doing work close to closing time. She was rude and dismissive and annoyed about having to do work. She completely ignored the fact the business is there to help people in pain and only cared about closing for the day. Ma’am the door says closing time was 7pm not 6:30….

This is the best subscription service. I go in for an adjustment each week. It definitely helps me to be more comfortable since i spend a lot of time on my feet. Dr Alex is amazing and the front office staff are equally awesome. Dr. Alex is located at: 3004 Wake Forest Rd #104, Raleigh, NC 27609 Dr Alex takes the time to get to know his patients and to understand their daily lives in order to provide the best care possible. Even though I have only been adjusted by Dr Russell a few times, I was very pleased. I highly recommend this location, Dr Alex and Dr Russell. The other locations and Doctors are equally as awesome.

DONT COME AT THIS LOCATION IF YOU DONT SPEAK PERFECT ENGLISH! I recently had an unfortunate phone encounter ( 10/13/2023) with the “ Wellness Coordinator Lady” trying to help my parents explain an issue they had with billing (even thou they tried fixing in it before, plus it wasn’t even my parents fault, and this being the second time this has happened) despite my parents speaking English fluently enough to be customers with this company for about 4 years, the lady I spoke to was incredibly rude and insisted that my parents bring an English speaker next time they come to the location, which was not only unnecessary but also disrespectful. I expected better service and communication from this location. ***My parents decided to stay at the Garner location since the wellness coordinator there helped us get the issue resolved without hesitation, also i’m leaving this review as my own experience, my parents do love the garner location plus i already said they been clients for about 4 years, i was just trying to help them :(

Update *** Ive gone consistently over the past two weeks, as recommended by their staff and have noticed tremendous improvement. I’m new to chiropractic care and I have learned that it is not always a quick fix, in my particular circumstance, pain relief will be achieved over time and that has been true so far. The staff is very nice and fast. New Patient: I was pretty disappointed in my first visit… I feel ZERO relief for the area of pain that I went in for… and I feel like my area of pain wasn’t really addressed (and I feel like this was done to push the wellness plans).. However, entire staff is very nice and accommodating and it is very affordable … I decided to sign up for the wellness plan, hoping that my next visit does actually address my area of pain. ????Will update after my second visit.

Worse experience EVER!! I’ve been going to Chiropractors for 40 years have never had an experience like with The Joint!! The chiropractor was so awful to me that after I left, the receptionist called me to see if I was OK. She was very kind and concerned. She reported the chiropractor too! After calling their office 3 days in a row, still no one has reached out to me!
