While in high school, he took an interest in the structure and function of the human body as well as natural healing which led him to become a full-time Licensed Massage Therapist while completing his pre-medicine undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada Reno - a stepping stone towards his path to becoming a chiropractor.

One of his massage clients was a chiropractor who gave him his first adjustment. Immediately he noticed functional changes such as less aches and pains while providing massage, better performance in the recreational sports he participated in, and better posture in all aspects of his life. The experience inspired him to become a chiropractor. Dr. Matt now dedicates himself to provide the same experience and benefits to his patients.

In 2013, Dr. Matt and his wife moved to Hayward, California to attend Life Chiropractic College West where he completed his chiropractic studies in March of 2017. Life West exposed him to a wide variety of techniques and disciplines allowing him to provide many options and integrated approaches to effective care for his patients. He also completed a certification program using an Activator which best serves those who are osteoporotic, younger children, or simply those seeking a gentler adjustment. During his time in chiropractic school, he completed an internship with the head chiropractor for the San Francisco 49ers, Dr. Nick Athens, where he learned better ways to adjust extremities as well as managing a high-volume practice.

Dr. Matt’s passion is to provide a service that allows each and every one of his patients the ability to live a fuller, happier, active life. With a father who was a chiropractor, Dr. Naveran grew up surrounded by chiropractic and was familiar with the profession from an early age. It wasn't until adulthood, however, that he realized chiropractic was the path he wanted to pursue.

While home from undergraduate school for summer vacation, Dr. Naveran injured his back and visited a local chiropractic clinic owned by close family friends. During his care, conversations about chiropractic sparked his interest and ultimately inspired him to apply to Life West, where he began his chiropractic education in January 2019.

While home from undergraduate school for summer vacation, Dr. Naveran injured his back and visited a local chiropractic clinic owned by close family friends.     Very disappointing experience. I arrived at 5:35 PM, and as I was walking up to the door, they locked it in my face and changed the sign to “Closed,” even though their posted hours are until 6:00 PM. I called to ask what was going on and was told there was only one doctor, the doctor had to leave at 6:00, there were too many people inside, and I could “go somewhere else.” I understand that a business may have circumstances that require them to stop accepting patients early, but that should be communicated clearly. If you’re no longer accepting patients at 5:35PM, your posted hours should reflect that or there should be a clearly stated cutoff time. Locking the door as a customer is literally walking up and then telling them to go somewhere else was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I drove there expecting to be able to receive service during their posted business hours, and instead I was turned away at the door.

    This was my first time ever seeing a chiropractor and I will say the bar is set extremely high. From the moment my wife and I walked in we were greeted with warm smiles from Alyssa who was at the front counter. She then explained very thoroughly what is going to take place during our visit.     2-3 times a year, I need an adjustment. I’ve always gone to The Joint because it’s convenient and with as little as I need to go, it didn’t seem worth it to try and establish elsewhere. I’ve always known I was going to be asked about purchasing a membership, and I’ve always politely declined. But on my most recent visit, the doctor and receptionist leaned too far into high pressure sales tactics for my taste, asking me to buy a membership, and when I politely declined, telling me “it” (my condition? my back? who knows? Definitely not them.) was going to start “degenerating” if I didn’t start coming in sooner. I’ve never been a fan of treatments that require you to keep coming back for the rest of your life in order to keep feeling good, or if doctors that make me feel like my body is inherently broken and can’t hold up without constant intervention, because frankly, I know it’s not true. I’m an athlete, which comes with injuries, and I’ve always been able to come back stronger by leaning into my body’s ability to heal and adapt. I know that’s not The Joint’s business model, but I’ve been willing to go anyway because of the convenience. But the fear mongering and high pressure sales tactics are not ethical, especially when you’re dealing with people who are in pain, and this last experience pushed me over the edge. I finally spent the time to find a locally owned and ethically run chiropractic clinic that I’ll be using instead from now on. You did the wrong thing, and it cost you a customer. I hope you’ll use this as an opportunity to do better in the future.

    They make you sign up for a subscription plan, and despite making you think that you're paying for a certain amount of visits, you're actually paying a monthly fee. The credits do not roll over month to month and if you don't go in a month you just lose your money. I spent hundreds of dollars on three visits because of this misrepresentation.

    Good Idea turned into corporate greed. To be clear, the care I received was wonderful. After my back was put in order , I would go in for maintenance once a week. Then when I went to renew my contract after letting it lapse for some months, they raised the monthly fee and made the commitment term longer. Being that I was in pain, I agreed, which could arguably be considered duress. Plus whenever I went in, the office staff tried to get me to upgrade to an even more expensive contract. At that point, it seemed that some of the doctors tried to get people in and out as quickly as possible, and to insist that EVERYONE needs continual chiropractic care . Only the one with the light brown hair seemed to still take the time with treatment. After I cancelled the contract, they continued to bill me and I had to dispute the transaction two months in a row and finally had to have my card cancelled and reissued in order to stop the billing. Maybe if you have long-term chronic pain, they're still a bargain. I personally am going back to the traditional model of care and billing.

    Went to the Reno location for a scheduled appointment and shortly before arriving received a message saying my appointment was rescheduled for 3 hours later. Arrived on time to discuss why appointment was changed and stood at the front counter with 7 other people for 25 minutes without ever seeing a single employee.     I've been a customer of the Joint for almost a year. I've benefited from the national chain locations. As a traveling Wireman, I started visiting in South Bend, Indiana, then to Tucson, AZ, Yuma, AZ, and now here in Reno. I can say that with my multiple neck and back issues, I have never had a bad experience. Matt is the branch manager and also who I see on a regular basis.     This was my first time ever seeing a chiropractor and I will say the bar is set extremely high.     Dr. Windsor is amazing!! I have been getting adjustments for about 15 years on and off and have been to multiple different offices and seen different chiropractors throughout the years and I just want to applaud Dr Windsor ? ? He's extremely gentle yet firm. Perfect touch that doesn't leave you feeling more tender and sore. I feel he actually listens. The joint can seem kinda like a drive through experience from other places I have been but I like that they're quick and open to walk ins!! But Dr Windsor is hands down the best I have experienced by far I request him every time!!

    Dr. Matt is great!! I came in with high anxiety due to having a bad experience with a Chiropractor many years ago. I was advised by many friends to go to a chiropractor because I was in excruciating pain from a severe sciatica pinch causing my leg to be numb and not being able to get much sleep for over a week due to the pain.     They do a good job at cracking your bones but are terrible at prioritizing already existing customers. They're more focused on getting the new person, a membership, then the customers they're already have and taken care of them first because sign up for a membership takes a really long time. You should never have to wait 45 minutes or more to get your back popped which takes less than 5 minutes.

    I've been to multiple joint locations and this one was a joke. I was the only person in the office. Checked in, sat in the back for 20 minutes being ignored by both doctors. I left without service.

    Great location, awesome chiropractors with professional staff. ?? Update: I wanted to give this location some extra credit because they deserve it. Dr. Matt is AMAZING! If I’m coming in hurting or just coming in to stay productive in my adjustments he does an amazing job. I never feel rushed, they offer an immense amount of time and attention to each patient. For a company that aims to get people in and out this place and the chiropractors really do an amazing job and I’m so thankful I found Dr. Matt. Always very helpful and will always take extra time if I have any areas of concern. I’m personally involved in not only chiropractic care but also physical therapy and pain management. Keeping my pain levels down during the cold winter months is the main goal for me and The Joint aids me in my total recovery process. Thank you all for all your hard work and great customer service!     Staff is great and friendly. But soon as u lay on the chiro table the whole session literally lasts anywhere between 45-60 seconds. Theres been a few times i walk in and im the only patient there and the session is still no more then a minute long. I think there goal is to get people in & out as quickly as possible to meet there quota for the day. $79 a month for 45 second sessions once a week. I get it its cheap and no insurance needed but absolutwe no thought or care in there sessions. They pop ur back and crack ur neck u get what u pay for. They claim they provide top quality care but how much quality care can u provide with 45 sec sessions.

    I'm a chronic illness patient who suffers from a disease that is basically trying to fuse my body together. I have a chiropractor where I live, but when I travel I always rely on the Joint Chiropractic when I absolutely need it. My entire upper back was so locked up that I was on the verge of not being able to move when I went and saw Dr Rollins.     Definitely different from other chiropractor offices. They have memberships like how a gym is rather than going through insurance. Very affordable! And you gont have to worry if they take your insurance! That's not their thing and it's walk ins only!

    First time ever going to the chiropractor. Been suffering from a neck injury from a car accident for over 4 years. Pain began to radiate to my arms, causing severe pain, numbness, and nerve tingling. After my first adjustment, my symptoms are like night and day. I can finally use my hands again. Truly a blessing.     The sweet gal at the front dest was so professional and kind. I was crying when I came in and she was more than reassuring that I was not at all "ridiculous" (my words). The doctor saw me quickly, and was informative, professional, and helped me immensely. I will be back every day this week for further treatment.     As useful as a gym membership. For a gropu trying to call themselves "Medical Professionals" they sure do like to use the same ethics in their billing practices. They have no reservations billing you if you don't even set foot in their store, but when you want to cancel, you either have to show up in person or fill out a form.

    I have been having lower back pain in my back for awhile now and I finally couldn’t take it anymore. I went to the Joint Yesterday and it was a great experience. The workers are very friendly and helpful. I left feeling amazing. For the first time in forever, I was able to sleep and sit comfortably!     Just a heads up for future individuals, if you are on Medicare and over the age of 65 they will not give you a back adjustment. My husband and I have been going to the joint for years and have never heard of a Joint deny a patient for Medicare purposes. Medicare does not cover the cost of adjustments so there is no reason why it should be involved in the process. The doctor and the receptionist were very kind when explaining why they will not give a person on Medicare an adjustment (which is why this reviewis 2 stars and not 1), but their reasoning was not sound. We have gone to The Joint for years and have had adjustments all over the United States and this is the first we have heard of a franchise receiving a $10,000 fine for adjusting a patient on Medicare. I think this facility should relook at this issue and talk to corporate, because it makes absolutely no sense.

    I have been a regular chiropractic patient at three different traditional chiropractic offices through the years. The only thing missing in this office is the long wait. They have removed the doors, walls and hallways that consume time in a traditional office but they have kept the personal care and adjustments tailored to the patient.

    See Mark Wilfert’s complaint it was about that same time frame to took my brother there. (Because the regular, 20 year family chiropractor was closed on the weekend). The guy did the same thing to him. I watch this “doctor” grab my brothers leg, who is a 6’2- 275 lbs man and yank his leg so hard he actually pulled him 2’ down the bench he was a lying on. The next morning my brother was wiping his bum with a putter because he couldn’t fricken move. Lucky a message therapist and a good family chiropractor corrected the jarring totally unnecessary violent yank that quack preformed. Hopefully he has been removed from the business. I don’t know his name, just remember him being a be roided up looking dude.

    Go here once a week, or at least I try. It's convenient as can be, and usually very quick. It's chiropractor care that works for me. Some have complained because it is like usually 2 docs and first come first serve. It's also not $50 - $80 per visit like I've been charged elsewhere. Come on. I have no trouble taking the next vacant table and waiting to be adjusted next. The fact that my little keytag works at any of the locations (3? Not sure) is a bonus.

    You get what you pay for. This is the fast food of chiropractic as you are shuffled in, given three adjustments, and shuffled out with a recommendation of buying a subscription for more services. My presenting problems of neck and shoulder were not alleviated. I will not be returning to this one-size fits all type of care.

    Dr. Dan was very informative and willing to work with my husband and I. They are very upfront with what they are going to do and plan on doing. I showed up as a walk-in with my husband as I was struggling to walk on my own. I have a long ways to go, however I was able to walk out of the office without assistance and for that I am super grateful and will be returning here for a very long time.

    Dr. Jarina Kong and Dr. Chris Koeven are so great to work with! They provide detail about what is going on with wellness program and it's typically a quick in and out. I've never worked with Dr. Dan as he normally only has the other two work with me, but he has good reviews.     All I needed was a little simple adustment. What I got was a back that is now completely out of line. I had very little pain when I went in, in fact the day before, I golfed, did a hard workout and a 3 mile walk. I had a little pin point of pain. I told the doctor that I just needed a little tweek, instead he yanked on my leg so hard that it pulled me crooked. I went back two days later to have it corrected and it did not work...so I went from having a very light problem to a very big problem. I went to another chiropractor right after I left the Joint after the second visit and she could not believe how badly my lower back had been pulled out of place. I sat and watched these two chiropractors adjust several patients and every single patient I watched was adjusted in the exact same way. I am sorry guys, adjustments are not a one size fits all type of thing. I am very angry about this. I am very familiar with having adjustments as I had a bad injury and it took 3 years to correct. I have had next to no pain for a long time and in a blink of an eye and a yank of a leg, I am now wrecked. PISSED!! 08/01/2018 I haven't heard from anybody from your branch. I can assure you that I want a phone call and not from the front desk person. I want to hear from the person in charge of the franchise. 08/10/2018 I still have not heard from anybody at this office. 08/15/2018 I still have not heard from this office concerning the injury I suffered from the adjustment I received on July 24th. I am still seeing another doctor in an effort to correct what was done to my back. Sept 11, 2018, Still no call or any response from the owner. I am still not better. It is a harsh thing to have no pain..just a small need for a simple adjustment and ending up hardly able to get around after a bad adjustment. My whole life has changed since the doctor that adjusted me decided to yank on my leg. Constant pain. 09/13/2018 Since the adjustments on July 24th and 26th I have not heard from this franchise after the owner said I would be contacted. I now have sciatica, I have had to have an injection for pain and inflammation. It is important to know that I had no real pain or issues before the gentleman at the joint yanked on my leg, this has been a nightmare and it has changed my life.

    This is my first visit and I will update as I have more progress. As some one with chronic back pain who has previously had chiropractic care, deep tissue massage, orthopaedic visit, and yoga to help this visit has me over the moon. I felt very listened to and cared for. Although this place doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a normal chiropractic office it still has done so much in just one visit. I had the most intense soul lifting adjustment of my life. I immediately felt better. As I am understandably sore after I still cant wait for the rest of my journey here. Also the price is great. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

    Dr Dan is great at what he does. Not only can he realign your spine, he also makes sure the other joints in your body is where it needs to be. When I first saw him my head was too far forward and not align with my spine. My spine was so compressed from heavy lifting I had begun to barely bend over or side to side motion. Getting out of bed was starting to become difficult. If it wasn’t for him I’m sure I’d be in unbearable pain. What is great about this location is that they’ll start to know you by name even before you scan in. Dr Dan has this touch that he’ll know when to be gentle. The staff will always greet you with a smile and wish you a good day after your visit.
